Will’s work experience

This week we have our MD Andy’s son Will on work experience at EPC, learning all about the family
business.

We teamed up with Pocket Rocket Marketing to offer Will the opportunity to learn about how EPC is
investing in its brand as the company grows and develops. Will enjoys business studies at school so
we thought it would be fun for him to test out his marketing muscle!

Will helped direct and support a photo and video shoot as well as give ideas and plan the format for
EPC’s new website during his week on-site. He also spent time with each Management Team
member to understand their roles and responsibilities, and even helped us to order new
transportation vehicles!

Andy is already the 4 th generation family member to run EPC – this makes us quite special according
to Forbes Magazine who state that “Less than one third of family businesses survive the transition
from first to second generation ownership, and another 50% don’t survive the transition from
second to third generation.”

Let’s hope we piqued Will’s interest and helped him to understand not only how the family business
is run but what us grown-ups get up to when we are at ‘work’!
